A native of Oklahoma, Beki Killorin received most of her training in art in her home state. As she developed her skills in oil, ink, watercolor and mixed media, she gained national recognition from museums and galleries, and her sales increased. In 1983, she took a major step into intaglio printmaking. Using her already well-developed skills as a professional artist, she rose to the technical challenge of this complex medium and pursued it with a passion. Today, the etchings, hand-colored prints and watercolors created in her studio on a small island in Washington's Puget Sound are represented by galleries in the U.S. and internationally. Killorin brings contemporary verve to familiar subjects, imbuing birds, flowers and other images of the natural world with a unique life and spirit. http://www.islandinternational.com |
